About Hockey India

Hockey India Team Celebration

Hockey India was established in 2009 as the sole governing body for field hockey in India, recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Based in New Delhi, we oversee all aspects of the sport, from grassroots development to elite international competitions.

Our mission is to foster a competitive environment, nurture talent, and ensure India's dominance in world hockey. With a rich history spanning decades, Indian hockey has produced legendary players and memorable victories, and we aim to continue this legacy.

We work closely with state associations, coaches, and athletes to implement structured programs. Hockey India is affiliated with the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), ensuring compliance with global standards.

Our initiatives include coaching clinics, referee training, youth leagues, and women's hockey promotion. We believe in inclusivity and strive to make hockey accessible to all regions of India, regardless of background or gender.

To establish India as a global powerhouse in field hockey by 2030, through systematic development and international success.

To promote hockey at all levels, identify and groom talent, and provide world-class infrastructure and coaching.
